Las Vegas- A last-second shot helped the Runnin’ Rebels squeeze out a win over Cal. With less than two seconds to go Quintrell Thomas grabbed Anthony Marshall’s airball under the basket and scored on a short hook shot to give UNLV a 76-to-75 win over the Golden Bears.
Anthony Bennett had career-highs of 25 points and 13 rebounds while leading UNLV (7-1) to its sixth straight win. Bryce Dejean-Jones also had a career-best 22 points.
Junior forward Mike Moser sat out the second half due to a dislocated elbow. The Rebels return home Thursday night to play La Verne at the Orleans Arena.
