(Las Vegas, NV) – Five Metro Police officers have been cleared in a deadly shooting.
District Attorney Steve Wolfson says the officers’ actions in the April death of 49-year-old Sharmel Edwards were “not criminal in nature.”
Edwards was driving a stolen car when she was pulled over in the northwest valley.
Police say the woman pulled out a handgun and pointed it at the officers, who shot and killed her.
Witnesses say Edwards ignored orders to surrender.
