HENDERSON, Nev. (AP) — Police in Henderson say six teenagers are facing misdemeanor charges in a drive-by vandalism spree that left at least 23 vehicles damaged by slingshot marbles and paintballs.
Police spokesman Keith Paul said Tuesday that two of the teens also face petty larceny charges after they were apprehended allegedly trying to steal marbles from a home improvement store.
A 16-year-old girl was also arrested on a misdemeanor conspiracy charge, and police reported finding two slingshots and broken paint balls in the interior of the teens’ car.
Paul says several teens admitted shooting marbles or throwing paintballs out of their car while driving around.
Damage was reported during the weekends of Oct. 27-28 near Boulder Highway and Sunset Road and Nov. 3 in the Stephanie Street and Warm Springs Road area.
