(Las Vegas, NV) – Nevada Republican Dean Heller holds on to his U.S. Senate seat after narrowly defeating Democrat Shelley Berkley.
During an interview with 100.5 KXNT, Heller explains his priority for his second term, “Turning this economy around will be job number one.”
The Senator also stressed the importance of recognizing and embracing good ideas regardless of whether they are proposed by Republicans or Democrats.
A year ago, Heller was in his third term in Congress, representing northern Nevada, when Republican Gov. Brian Sandoval picked him to replace U.S. Sen. John Ensign, who resigned after a scandal.
