(Las Vegas, NV) — Authorities have identified three officers involved in a shooting that left a 52-year-old man dead in Las Vegas earlier this week.

Police say 41-year-old Michael Henry, 24-year-old Samantha Wimmer, and 33-year-old Michele Iacullo (yah-COOL’-oh) are on paid leave after the shooting Monday afternoon.

Las Vegas resident Ronald James Morrison was killed in the confrontation outside a Ross store on Desert Inn Road.

Police say they were responding to calls that a person had been shot in the hand by a stranger.

Police say they soon found Morrison, who matched the suspect description, but he didn’t obey their commands and instead pulled a gun from his waistband.

Officers shot Morrison, who was pronounced dead on the scene. No police were hurt.
