(Las Vegas, NV) — The Home Depot and a slew of associates have made live easier for veterans in Las Vegas.
The Home Depot Foundation deployed over 65 volunteers to transform the facilities of Veteran’s Village on Las Vegas Blvd.
The volunteers worked on many projects which include:
- Painting of building exterior and interior
- Renovation and weatherization of common areas
- Installation of new flooring, carpeting and appliances
- Energy efficiency upgrades
The effort is part of Celebration of Service. The Home Depot’s Foundation’s two-month initiative to assist military veterans.
The Las Vegas project is one of hundreds of service projects across the country between September 11th and Veteran’s Day to give back to those who served the nation.
Veteran’s Village provides services to its residents including education and degree programs, medical services and mental health counseling.
