(Las Vegas, NV) — Las Vegas’ airport is near the top of a dubious list.
ABC News says according to the Transportation Security Administration, McCarran International ranks fifth in the number of TSA workers fired for theft. Fifteen have been dismissed between 2002 and 2011.
Miami International ranks first, followed by New York’s JFK, Los Angeles International, and Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson.
The TSA denies theft is a widespread problem, and claims the number of officers fired “represents less than one-half of one percent” of those employed by the agency.
