HENDERSON, Nev. (AP/CBS Las Vegas) — Fresh off the presidential debate in Florida, Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney and vice presidential running mate Paul Ryan are making a campaign stop at the Henderson Pavilion.

Romney and Ryan are due to make their first joint appearance in Nevada a little after noon today at a rally at the amphitheater venue off Green Valley Parkway south of the 215 Beltway.

The visit comes amid strong early voting here in Nevada, which has six electoral votes at stake and Romney and President Barack Obama are close in the polls.

Election officials say more than 80,000 people statewide cast ballots in person in the first two days after early voting began Saturday.

Obama is due to make a campaign stop in Las Vegas late Wednesday.
