(Las Vegas, NV) — More than 200 juveniles are arrested annually in Clark County for activities related to human trafficking.
Tonight at Valley High School, the Clark County School District Police Department in partnership with Bamboo Bridges will host the Human Trafficking Community Forum. The forum is designed to educate students, parents, school leaders and the public about human trafficking in the Las Vegas Valley and the danger of students being exploited as part of growing sex trade activities in the community.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has stated that Las Vegas is known to be one of seventeen cities at high risk for human trafficking.
Starting in October, Clark County School District Police began training school staff and administration on human
trafficking warning signs.
The Human Trafficking Community Forum is tonight at 6 p.m. at Valley High School, 2839 Burnham Ave., Las Vegas.
Bamboo Bridges is a nonprofit organization serving Asian Pacific American women through advocacy,
outreach, education and the development of culturally relevant services.
