1.6 Million Stolen From Venetian
(Las Vegas, NV) — The search is on for a man who managed to steal over a million dollars worth of chips from a Las Vegas casino. In a theft that brings to mind the work of the “Ocean’s 11” crew, police say 31-year-old Akingide Cole of Palmdale, California managed to gain access to a closed area of The Venetian casino on the morning of October 10th and was able to remove chips of various values without being caught. Authorities say Cole made off with one-point-six-million dollars worth of casino chips. Police say there were no weapons involved in the crime and no one caught Cole in the act. Authorities hope surveillance camera footage of Cole might eventually lead someone to turn him in.
