LAS VEGAS (AP) — Obama campaign officials say Newark, N.J. Mayor Cory Booker will be in Las Vegas to discuss how the president’s economic plan will affect African Americans and Nevadans.
The African Americans for Obama round table includes local faith and community leaders and is set for Friday afternoon at the Ebenezer Church of God in Christ in Las Vegas.
The event will also highlight the early voting period, which begins Oct. 20 and runs through Nov. 2.
Booker’s appearance is one of several Obama campaign events in Nevada in the next few days. Vice President Joe Biden will be in the state Monday and Tuesday to promote the president.
