(Las Vegas, NV) — A state court judge postponed for at least two weeks naming a veteran Nevada defense lawyer to prosecute a former storefront church pastor accused of sexually assaulting at least four young girls in his Las Vegas-area congregation.
Clark County District Court Judge Stefany Miley is poised to appoint attorney Robert Langford to replace the Clark County district attorney’s office in prosecuting former United Faith Church leader Otis Holland.
But first the judge on Wednesday set an Oct. 24 date to consider a Clark County district attorney’s office request to reconsider.
The court had announced Langford’s appointment because before becoming DA, Steve Wolfson was Holland’s criminal defense lawyer.
The 56-year-old Holland is accused of multiple felony charges including lewdness with a child and sexual assault with a minor under 14.
