(Las Vegas, NV) — A 24-year-old Las Vegas man has been arrested seven months after a shootout at a casino parking lot.

Police say Abdullah Sykes was booked into the Clark County jail earlier this week on suspicion of four counts of attempted murder, four counts of assault, and battery stemming from the shootings.

Authorities blame gang activity for the running gunbattle March 11 in the parking garage of the Rio All Suites Casino and Hotel in Las Vegas.

Police say an officer fired shots at a 22-year-old North Las Vegas man who was taken to University Medical Center for treatment.

Officials linked that incident to a shooting about 90 minutes later that wounded two people outside the hospital.
