LAS VEGAS (AP) — Police say an armored car guard fired a shot at thieves wearing construction reflector vests who attacked him with baseball bats and fled with a bag he was delivering at the downtown Las Vegas Premium Outlets mall.
Police say investigators don’t think anyone was hit by the gunfire a few minutes before noon Friday in a hallway at the outdoor mall on Grand Central Parkway.
Las Vegas police say the guard was making a delivery to a store when he was attacked by the two men in their 20′s.
The thieves escaped in a light-colored car and the guard was treated at a hospital for minor injuries after the attack.
Police say one assailant was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, stocking cap and sunglasses.
