(Las Vegas, NV) — Just over four years ago, Drew and Barbara Stevens came face-to-face with a realization that no parent should have to deal with under any circumstance.
Their son, Josh, was no longer with them. A terrible accident in their Henderson neighborhood claimed the life of Josh shortly before his 13th birthday. Fast forward to today and the family still deals with the loss, but with a mission in mind.
That mission is to preserve the legacy of their oldest son. Friday, October 5th would have been Josh’s 17th birthday and the Josh Stevens Foundation continues to honor him with “Take 5 to be KIND…like Josh” initiative. The phrase “BE KIND” is a phrase that exemplifies the way Josh treated anyone he came in contact with during his abbreviated life.
The program is designed to inspire people to simply be KIND like Josh on the 5th of every month. The Foundation, inspired by 12-year-old Josh Stevens, the boy whose life was cut far too short but whose legacy of KINDNESS continues on, has developed a full year of themed acts of KINDNESS to make the act not only easy but also fun.
The Josh Stevens Foundation has activities throughout the remainder of 2012. Information about the foundation can be found at http://joshstevensfoundation.org/
