(Las Vegas, NV) — If you’re planning to fly American Airlines, be sure to check the status of your flight.
The carrier is taking what it calls “preventative steps” to make sure the seats are secure on its Boeing 757 aircraft. The seat lock plunger mechanism on dozens of planes will be checked, and the work is expected to be completed by tomorrow.
Some flights may either be delayed or canceled as a result. Yesterday, an American flight from Las Vegas to Miami was canceled 40 minutes before takeoff.
Call the airline or log onto www.McCarran.com for the latest information.
