(Las Vegas, NV) – Wayne Newton and his business partners will square off in a jury trial.
Judge Elizabeth Gonzalez has set aside three weeks in May to hear a dispute over a museum at the entertainer’s estate. Plans called for Newton’s Casa de Shenandoah east of the Las Vegas Strip to become a tourist destination.
The Texas bankers bankrolling the project say they have spent over $50 million dollars, and now want out.
Newton and his wife claim the partners are trying to squeeze them out of their 20% interest in the museum.
