(Las Vegas, NV) – A Republican candidate for an open Nevada Assembly seat is alleging that his Democratic rival in the Nov. 6 election doesn’t live in the southwest Las Vegas district he seeks to represent.

District 9 candidate Kelly Hurst filed a complaint Tuesday in Clark County District Court seeking to disqualify Andrew Martin from holding office if Martin is elected. The seat is now held by Tick Segerblom, who is running for state Senate.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports that a private investigator collected evidence that Martin doesn’t really stay at a condominium south of Flamingo Road and west of Durango Drive.

Martin told the newspaper that he lives at the condo, and a property he owns in Assembly District 2 is his office.

A court hearing is scheduled Nov. 16.
