(Carson City, NV) — The nation’s fifth-largest school district is making gains.
A report card from the Nevada Department of Education says Clark County’s graduation rate improved by seven-percent during the last school year, to 66%. The number of truancies dropped by 50%.
There were an average of 23 students per teacher in each classroom last year, up slightly from 2010. Clark County also spent a bit more on each student last year, with an average of just over $7700.
