(Las Vegas, NV) — Several groups are joining in the battle against Wynn Resorts’ tip-sharing policy for casino dealers.
The “Sun” says two religious groups have asked to file friend-of-the-court briefs, along with the Progressive Leadership Alliance of Nevada and the Amalgamated Transit Union. All oppose the resort firm’s requirement that dealers share their tips with supervisors.
Last year, a District Court judge ruled the policy violates state law.
Wynn Resorts has appealed to the Nevada Supreme Court. A decision is not expected until well into 2013.
