(Carson City, NV) — Nevada’s top elections official says more than twice as many Democrats than Republicans registered to vote in September.
Secretary of State Ross Miller says his office processed more than 30,000 Democratic and less than 15,000 Republican registrations last month.
Another 15,000 people registered as non-partisan.
Miller says that out of the 1.2 million active registered voters in Nevada, 42 percent are Democrats, 36 percent are Republicans and 17 percent are non-partisan.
Online and mail-in voter registration is open through Saturday. The deadline for registering to vote in person at a county clerk or registrar’s office is Oct. 16.
Online registration is available at www.registertovotenv.gov.
