(Las Vegas, NV)  –  A Las Vegas Strip restaurant based on a Southern rock band is no more.

Lynyrd Skynyrd Barbecue and Beer, along with its sister restaurant American Burger Works, have closed shop at the Excalibur hotel.  Members of the group had a stake in the business, which opened last December.

The parent company of the businesses has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, citing at least $1 million in liabilities.  The restaurants employed a total of nearly 90 people.
