(Las Vegas, NV)  –  A local father who saved two children from a weekend house fire has died.

Leopoldo Rodriquez picked up the boys and ran from the burning home near Maryland Parkway and Hacienda on Saturday morning.  County firefighters say the blaze started when a deep fryer tipped over.

The two boys remain in critical condition at University Medical Center.

A “Robles House Fire Relief Fund” account has been set up at Wells Fargo Bank.
