Ex-Prosecutor No Show For Sentencing
(Las Vegas, NV) A former county prosecutor who pleaded guilty to cocaine possession has failed to show up in court. David Schubert was set to start a nine-month sentence on Friday but didn’t appear before District Judge Carolyn Ellsworth, who issued an arrest warrant.
Schubert, who had handled the high-profile drug cases of celebrities Paris Hilton and Bruno Mars, was arrested in March 2011 for having 40-dollars worth of rock cocaine. The Nevada Supreme Court has temporarily suspended Schubert’s law license, and referred the case to the State Bar.
