Las Vegas – The 0 and 3 Rebels entered Saturday night’s game against the Air Force Falcons 10 1/2 point underdogs, a team they hadn’t beat since November of 2006. Although the Rebels got of to a rough start giving up 238 yards rushing and 28 points in the first half, they were able to hold the Falcons to seven points in the second half and pull off their first win of the season, beating Air Force 38-35.
The Rebel offense performed well, running back Bradley Randle rushed for three touchdowns and Tim Cornett ran for 114 yards and a score. Freshman quarterback Nick Sherry completed 23 of 32 passes for 250 yards and a touchdown. UNLV is now 1 and 3 on the season and 1-0 in the Mountain West, next week the Rebels travel to Utah to take on Utah State.
