Las Vegas – A former California high school football stand out who spent more than five years in prison for a crime he didn’t commit is getting his chance at a professional career.
Brian Banks has become a member of the Las Vegas Locomotives in the United Football League. Banks was a Long Beach Poly High School football star until he was convicted and sentenced to prison for rape. A judge in May overturned his conviction after his accuser recanted her story.
The Locos are scheduled to start the season on Wednesday the 26th at Sam Boyd Stadium as they host last years champion Virginia Destroyers.
