Las Vegas, NV - In what can only be described as a must-win situation for Bobby Hauck and the Rebels, they couldn’t get it done. Washington State proved to be too much, handing UNLV its third loss in a row Friday night, 35-27.
Coach Bobby Hauck is now 4-24 in his 3rd season as the Rebels head coach.
Although the Rebels lost there were some highlights as freshman quarterback Nick Sherry had a solid game completing 33 of 49 passes for 351 yards and three touchdowns. Rebel wide receiver Marcus Sullivan had six catches for 136 yards and two touchdowns.
UNLV will host Air Force next Saturday at Sam Boyd Stadium in its fourth straight home game. Air Force is currently 1-1 on the season, after beating Idaho State, 49-21, and losing last week to Michigan, 31-25.
