Las Vegas, NV - David Schorr, the son of Cox Communications Vice President Steve Schorr, was killed Thursday night when a small plane crashed in Georgia.
According to the Associated Press, the plane crashed into a residential neighborhood near Lake Lanier, which is near Atlanta. There were two people in the plane at the time. No one on the ground was injured.
Investigators from the Federal Aviation Administration are on the way to the site of the crash. The matter will be turned over to the National Transportation Safety Board to determine the cause.

“Cox Las Vegas is saddened by the loss experienced by Steve Schorr and his wife Holly yesterday evening when the small plane their son David was a passenger in crashed near Atlanta. Steve is a respected member of our executive leadership team and dynamic member of our community who passionately advocates for innumerable causes throughout Southern Nevada. His loss is our loss. Steve and his family are an important part of our family and we grieve his loss as if it were our own.”
David, 40, is survived by his wife Bridgette and three children: 12-year-old Alysia, 10-year-old Kaitlyn, and 4-year-old Ethan Steve.
