CBS LAS VEGAS- Geoff Lawrence is the Deputy Director of Policy at the Nevada Policy Research Institute and he talks about how we should use Parent Trigger laws to help better our education here in the valley. Callers tell us if they support this idea.
Parent-trigger laws allow parents to force major changes at a single school if more than 50 percent of the school’s parents sign a petition urging the change. Possible changes that can occur are replacing staff, changing the principle, or closing the school and relocating the students to a better school. Callers tell us if they support the Parent trigger laws.
