NFL, College Football Big Business In Vegas

(Las Vegas, NV) — Sunday marks the true beginning of the NFL season and the chance to get rich is always an option in Nevada.

Pro football is the king when it comes to sports betting and the Las Vegas Hilton has your chance to pad your bank account according to Jay Kornegay. “The pool of the Super Contest is over $1 million with $400 thousand going to the winner. We have a record amount of entries this year and it is amazing considering the entry fee is $1,500.”

The LVH kicks off their NFL season Sunday, with all of the games available in their theatre. Kornegay added that bettors seem to be more prepared with preseason and futures betting taking in a much larger handle than in years past.

And even though the NFL is the most popular sport when it comes to sports betting, college isn’t far off, according to Kornegay.

“I would say right now the books  handle a little bit more on Saturdays than they do on Sundays because of the number of games. However, if you look at the amounts per game the NFL will have more action than an average college football game.”
