City Rejects Food Truck Buffer Zones

(Las Vegas, NV) — Food trucks in the city of Las Vegas can continue to park wherever they want.

The City Council has turned down a proposal that would have required food trucks to park at least 300 feet from brick and mortar restaurants.

Restaurant owners claim the mobile trucks are hurting their businesses. Truck operators contend a buffer zone would stifle competition.
