Reid Blasts “Extremists” In DNC Speech
(Charlotte, NC) — Senator Harry Reid has linked Republican “extremists and ideologues” to presidential candidate Mitt Romney.
In his speech to the Democratic National Convention Tuesday, Reid accused the GOP of believing in “two sets of rules – one for millionaires and billionaires and another for the middle class.”
The Nevada lawmaker also praised President Obama, saying his “strength of character leads him to do the right thing even when it isn’t the easy thing.”
A Romney campaign spokesman called Reid’s comments “absolutely false” and an attempt to distract from what he calls Obama’s “abysmal economic record.”
