(Charlotte, NC) — Nevada Democrats are in Charlotte, North Carolina for the party’s national convention this week. And the 44 delegates know it may be a tougher fight than four years ago, when Barack Obama won the presidential race and took the Silver State. Recent polls show a tight race between President Obama and Republican Mitt Romney, in part because Nevada’s jobless rate is at 12-percent, the highest in the nation. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid will address the convention tomorrow, and the president will give his convention speech on Thursday night.
