(Washington, DC)  —  Nevada is poised to get $673,000 dollars in federal funds for road improvement projects.  It’s part of $470 million dollars in unspent earmarks being released by the Obama administration.

Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood says the money will create jobs and help improve roads and bridges.

The Nevada Department of Transportation must identify the projects it will use the money for by October 1st, and have signed contracts by the end of the year.
