Crosswalk Safety At CCSD
(Las Vegas, NV) — The safety of students is the number one priority for all CCSD schools and the annual Back to School Safety Event is a way to remind
families and the community about safe practices around schools.
Monday on Durango and Gomer near William V. Wright Elementary School the Clark County School District Police and other law enforcement agencies demonstrated how to use crosswalk safely as well as the importance of lraffic laws
Roshanda Grant is the mother of a second grader and knows that summer can be a time that drivers forget about children who may be out in public.
“There is a tendency to want to speed if you are in a hurry and think there may not be any police officers but there may be a child who jsut runs out in the street.”
The official start of school is Monday, Aug. 27th.
