Former Wranglers Player Faces Molestation Charges

(Las Vegas, NV)  —  A former pro hockey player is accused of molesting his stepdaughter over a four-year period.  Michael McBain turned himself in following a suicide attempt in Oregon.

According to a police report, McBain began assaulting the 12-year-old girl in 2008.  He faces nine felony counts.  McBain’s lawyer tells the “Review-Journal” his client wants to avoid a trial.

McBain played for the Tampa Bay Lightning in the late 1990’s, then joined the Las Vegas Wranglers as a player and later as an assistant coach.
