(Las Vegas, NV)  —  The Nevada Athletic Commission has come off a record year.

The “Sun” says the agency that regulates boxing collected five-point-three million dollars in fees and taxes this past fiscal year, breaking the previous record set in 2007.

Executive director Keith Kizer says two fights involving boxer Floyd Mayweather Junior helped the bottom line.

Mayweather was released from the Clark County Detention Center early Friday morning after serving two months for misdemeanor domestic violence.
