(Las Vegas, NV) — Clark County commissioners will be taking another look at exotic animal laws now on the books. Commissioner Steve Sisolak has asked for a review of the county’s policies at tomorrow’s meeting, including regulations for keeping wild animals and how officials deal with animals on the loose.
Last month, two chimps escaped from their cages in a northwest valley neighborhood. Police shot and killed one of the chimps, while the other will reportedly be moved to a sanctuary in Oregon.
More than a dozen wild animal permits have been issued in Clark County.
