GEORGE NOORY IN LAS VEGAS: Get tickets now -- be there June 9!

Las Vegas, NV — An air conditioner unit malfunction caused smoke to billow from the roof of Treasure Island, where a hotel official says a small fire was quickly doused within ten minutes.

Fourteen people have been treated for smoke inhalation.

Hotel spokeswoman Michelle Knoll says Clark County firefighters responded quickly to the fire on the roof of the 36-story building. The west wing of the 36th floor has been evacuated for precautionary reasons.

Knoll says the hotel isn’t being evacuated and damage is believed to be minor.
