Ruling Could Delay Hotel Implosion
(Las Vegas, NV) — A judge’s ruling could delay implosion of the troubled Harmon Hotel at City Center.
The “Review-Journal” says MGM Resorts can’t use statistical samples to request damages if the case goes to trial. That means engineers may have to re-enter the vacant 26-story hotel to conduct more tests.
General contractor Perini Construction claims the building can be made safe. But MGM wants to demolish the Harmon Hotel, saying it would be cheaper to rebuild.
