Las Vegas, NV) — You’ll have a chance to sound off on a proposed rate hike for Southwest Gas customers.

The utility has asked the state Public Utilities Commission for a 6.2 percent increase to cover higher operating costs. If approved, the average gas bill would go up by nearly $4.00 a month, starting November 1st.

A public hearing will be held at the PUC’s local office on Diablo Drive. A final decision could come in September.
