(Las Vegas, NV) –The U.S. Federal Government is looking at the Las Vegas area to promote energy efficiency.
Fire station 16 on N. Nellis Blvd. will get a facelift as part of a challenge put forth by the Department of Energy. But the fire house isn’t the only location making changes
“We’ve been retrofitting our buildings, we put in a solar demonstration project in our parking lot. We have areas to plug-in for electric vehicles,” said Clark County Commissioner Chris Giunchigliani.
The goal is to reduce the consumption by 2020. Clark County was chosen by the feds due to its current strategy of conserving energy.
