(Las Vegas, NV) – Legal representatives for The Venetian have filed an appeal against the Clark County Planning Commission’s decision last week to allow a gun store and range to move into the Shoppes at Palazzo Mall.
Vice president and legal counsel for The Venetian, Fred Kraus, testified before the commission last week that a gun store next to their casino would be a “tragedy waiting to happen.” The commission ultimately granted the permit to the Beretta gun store.
The Venetian’s appeal will now bring the issue before the board of county commissioners.
