(Las Vegas, NV)  –  Some peddlers who sell everything from t-shirts to bottled water say a new ordinance won’t stop them from making a living.  County commissioners this week approved the measure, making it a misdemeanor for people to sell items on the sidewalks of the Las Vegas Strip.

Those caught will face a $1000 fine or possible jail time. The ordinance won’t affect costumed characters who work for tips along the Strip corridor, or people who hand out adult-oriented business fliers.

The new ordinance takes effect later this month.
