(Las Vegas, NV) — Some of the biggest names in poker are taking part in a high-stakes game for charity.
Forty-eight players have put down a record breaking $1-million each to help provide clean water for poor regions. “Big One for One Drop” is part of this year’s World Series of Poker.
The founder of Cirque du Soleil came up with the tournament, where a portion of the entry fee goes to the One Drop charity.
The winner will take home more than $18-million. It runs through tomorrow at the Rio hotel.
