(North Las Vegas, NV)  – North Las Vegas residents are preparing for a reduction in government services.

Starting this Sunday, more than 100 city employees will lose their jobs, as officials close a $30-million dollar budget deficit.

The North Vegas jail is closing, with inmates being moved to Las Vegas.

Library and recreational center hours have been cut.  And the city council recently took back scheduled pay and benefit increases.

The union representing North Vegas firefighters has launched a campaign, urging the new $130-million dollar City Hall building be sold to raise money.
