LAS VEGAS (AP) — The owners of the Station Casinos chain in Las Vegas are launching a free Internet game site as they look toward the legalization of online gambling.

Fertitta Interactive, LLC tells the Las Vegas Sun it’s launching Ultimate Poker Friday as a free Facebook game that company officials hope develops a market for money-based games.

Fertitta family members also own Ultimate Fighting Championships and say they plan to promote Ultimate Poker to fighting fans, who tend to be male and are a target market for online gambling.

Fertitta Interactive officials say they’re fully supportive of federal legislation to regulate online poker and add that they will be ready to go on day one when the laws are passed.  They say they’ve also applied for all relevant online gambling licenses in Nevada.
