Primary Turnout Near Historic Lows
(Las Vegas,NV) — Relatively few voters turned out for Tuesday’s primary election, but it wasn’t the lowest on record.
Secretary of State Ross Miller joked on Twitter there were “more people waiting in line for root canals” than at polling locations across Nevada.
Statewide turnout was just under 19-percent, a bit better than the all-time low set in the 2008 primary.
Clark County’s voter turnout came in at just over 16-percent, slightly better than four years ago.
