LVMPD Sees Relatively Quiet Night At Electric Daisy Carnival

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) – It was a relatively quiet night for Metro officers at the Electric Daisy Carnival Friday.

From 6 p.m. Friday through Saturday at 5 a.m. the following citations, arrests and calls were made:

 

  • 8 misdemeanor citations
  • 1 misdemeanor arrest
  • 30 felony arrests (29 narcotics related; one strong-arm robbery)
  • 2 traffic accidents
  • 135 medical calls (six patients transported to area hospitals)

There were zero DUI arrests related to alcohol or drugs, and zero traffic fatalities.

Insomniac Productions said 110,000 people were in attendance Friday night, into Saturday morning.

The carnival is taking place at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway through Sunday, June 10. More than 300,000 people are expected to attend the carnival throughout the weekend.

EDC is expected to pump millions of dollars into the Las Vegas economy.
