(North Las Vegas, NV)  —  Get ready for another celestial show.  Venus is scheduled to pass directly in front of the sun, starting at 3:00 this afternoon.  But don’t view the eclipse without proper eye protection.

The Planetarium at the College of Southern Nevada’s North Las Vegas campus will have telescopes set up for public viewing.  It will also sell special solar glasses for direct viewing.

If you miss Venus Transit Day, the next one won’t come around until the year 2117.
